The KataKanu has been a project driven by my love of boats and my desire to share that feeling of being afloat with those who might otherwise not do so. It has been financed from my own pocket and developed in a shed at the bottom of my garden in my spare time. It is all new. Every line and curve is deliberate to ensure that everything that could be done has been done to make this boat as good as it can be. It has taken me 5 years of research and development, 4 prototypes, truck loads of filler, sandpaper, polish and elastoplasts not to mention a scary amount of cash, but finally we are in production, and it is now ‘roto moulded’ in polyethylene. The boats are currently being used by canoe clubs, activity centres, holiday & hire companies including; CenterParcs, Burton Canoe Club, Wokingham Waterside Centre, The Cotswold Water Park, Aztec Watersports, and The Leam boat centre & at Stratford upon Avon. Most satisfyingly for me, the boat works in every way!! & most satisfyingly for my customers, their customers love it to!!
